Board Service Grants

For CarMax Associates > Board Service Grants

At CarMax, cultivating leadership and investing in the communities where our Associates live and work are two core values of our company. That’s why we created the Board Service Program to support Associates and their eligible family who serve on nonprofit boards such as school PTAs, sports leagues, and many more. Governing, advisory, and young professionals boards qualify.

The Board Service Program includes:

For Associates and their eligible family members

  • Annual $1,000 board service donation to eligible nonprofits where they serve

For Associates

  • Board service training
  • Assistance identifying nonprofit leadership opportunities

CarMax Associates interested in this program should log into Workday and search Nonprofit Board Service. Edmunds employees, click here. The course only takes 25 minutes and once you complete it, the Community Relations team can provide you with resources and guidance to find the right nonprofit for you.
